Frequently Asked Questions
The candidate must have successfully passed Class VI from a recognized educational institution.
The candidate must fulfill the prescribed age requirement for the relevant admission session.
No relaxation in the prescribed age limit shall ordinarily be allowed. The candidate must fulfill all other conditions prescribed in the official admission notification.
Admission shall be subject to verification of the candidate’s academic and personal particulars.
For the 2026 admission session, the candidate’s age was required to be not less than 11 years and not more than 13 years as on 1 March 2026.
Final selection shall be made strictly on the basis of overall merit and the approved selection criteria.
The admission process generally comprises:
Written Examination → Merit-Based Shortlisting → Interview → Medical Examination → Final Merit → Admission
